Following an extensive selection process we chose, for the school fleet, the Beech 76 Duchess aircraft, of which we have two. This is to ensure constant serviceability and availability, as we do not book them up to full capacity. We believe that in the Duchess we have the best aircraft for the job as it offers a spacious cockpit, is ergonomically well laid out, and is relatively economical to operate. A TKS liquid de-icing system is fitted, whereby flight training and tests can be flown in known moderate icing conditions. The docile and stable handling qualities make this aircraft an ideal instrument training platform.
In order to reflect the increasingly
high professional standards, which customers should rightly demand, all our
aircraft fleet, two Beech 76 Duchess and a Cessna 172, have been recently
refitted with modern avionics including HSI and RMI. All the aircraft have
also been recently repainted and the interiors refitted in leather. We also have
available a second Cessna 172 for training.
We are now
able to offer training on the DIAMOND DA42 TWIN STAR multi engine aircraft which
has diesel engines with FADEC control and the GARMIN 1000 EFIS glass cockpit.
If already holding a MEP Class Rating on a conventional aircraft then Triple "A"can
offer the appropriate "Differences Training" to enable the aircraft to be hired
for VFR/IFR flight. Alternatively the JAA 7 Hour MEP Class Rating Course can
be offered and training for the CPL(A) and IR(A) could also be done. The
aircraft is available for hire, even
to low hours pilots, at around £225 per hour + VAT, a very competitive rate.
We now have access to two Twin Star aircraft.
